Caramelized Apple Vanilla Oats

Apples are caramelized in brown sugar and added to warm vanilla laced oats. It is the perfect breakfast for a fall morning.

What you need

tsp cinnamon

cup water

tbsp unsalted butter

tsp kosher salt
cup creamer

red apple

cup quick oats
Instructions
Cook oats according to package directions. In a medium size sauce pan bring water and salt to a boil. Then add in oats. Stir in the oats and let boil for about a minute. Turn off the heat, stir in the vanilla creamer, and cover. Let the oats sit while you saute the apples. In a medium to large saute pan, over medium to low heat brown the butter. Then add the apples to the pan. Gently stir the apples so the butter coats them. Let them saute for five minutes. After a couple of minutes add the brown sugar and gently stir. Let the apples saute about 5 more minutes. Until you start seeing the apples brown a bit and they become softer. Spoon the oatmeal into bowls and top with cinnamon and the brown sugar apple mixture.
