What you need

cup yellow onion

tsp pepper
cup fresh basil leaves

cup dry white wine
cup heavy cream

tsp kosher salt
cup pecorino romano

can canned diced tomatoes
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a medium-sized sauce pan. Add the onions and cook until soft. Lower the heat and add the tomatoes and the wine. Bring to simmer for about 7 minutes, slowly adding in the heavy cream, stirring to incorporate. Turn off the heat and add the cheese and fresh basil, seasoning with salt and pepper.
