tbsp butter

tsp worcestershire sauce

cup mozzarella cheese

thyme sprigs

tbsp flour

clove garlic clove

cup beef stock

tbsp shallot

french fries
Instructions
1. Preheat oven and cook frozen fries according to package directions, spreading them in a single layer on a baking sheet (optionally lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup) until golden brown. 2. While fries are cooking, prepare the gravy: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Sauté chopped shallots and garlic for about 4 minutes. Sprinkle in flour, whisking to combine, and cook for about 1 minute. 3. Gradually whisk in beef stock until the mixture is smooth. Bring to a simmer, then add Worcestershire sauce and thyme sprig. Let simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until thickened. Whisk in 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper, then remove from heat. 4. Once fries are golden brown, remove them from the oven and sprinkle 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese over top. Return to the oven for about 3 minutes, until the cheese is melted. 5. Transfer the cheesy fries to a plate or serving dish using a spatula. Spoon the hot gravy generously over the fries, add another layer of cheese if desired, and enjoy immediately.View original recipe
