Blackberry Balsamic & Brie Mini Tarts
Serves 1215 mins prep5 mins cook
These Blackberry Balsamic & Brie Mini Tarts are so easy to make yet surprisingly elegant. They can elevate any snack or charcuterie board, or act as a standalone appetizer. Gently simmering the blackberries, keeping them intact yields a really pretty deep purple moment, which works well for a spooky vibe or a pop of color on a Thanksgiving table.

What you need
oz brie
fresh basil leaves

tsp black pepper

tbsp balsamic vinegar

cup fresh blackberries

tsp honey

tsp kosher salt
Instructions
1. Add the blackberries, balsamic vinegar, and honey to a medium-sized pot. 2. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring periodically for about 3-4 minutes. 3. Sprinkle kosher salt and black pepper over the top, stir once more, and let cook for an additional minute. 4. Remove the pot from heat. The blackberries should become a bit “jammy” in consistency, but do not mash them; try to keep them somewhat intact. 5. Place one piece of brie into each pre-made pastry shell. 6. Next, place one prepared blackberry (from the simmered mixture) into each shell alongside the brie. 7. Repeat this process for all pastry shells. 8. Garnish with fresh basil over top if desired before serving.View original recipe
