Valentine's Puffed Rice "Krispie" Treats with Freeze Dried Raspberries
Serves 915 mins prep0 mins cook
These puffed rice “krispie” treats get a little Valentine’s Day love from freeze dried raspberries and a drizzle of chocolate. This recipe took about 15 minutes to make and uses puffed rice cereal, though it would also work with traditional rice krispie cereal with adjusted measurements.

What you need

oz chocolate

tbsp unsalted butter

mini marshmallows

tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Prep an 8x8 square pan by lining it with parchment paper or spraying it with baking spray. In a large heavy bottomed pot, melt the butter over medium/low heat. Once the butter is melted, add in 1 tsp of vanilla and stir to combine. Add in the marshmallows, stirring until melted. Remove from heat. Add in your rice cereal and stir until well combined. Sprinkle in 1/4 cup of the freeze dried raspberries and mix to incorporate. Add the puffed rice mixture to the prepared baking pan. Press down over top to form one even layer with a rubber spatula. Sprinkle over top the remaining dried raspberries. If you do not have a heart shaped baking pan, you can take a heart cookie cutter and cut out heart shapes after the rice krispies cool in the pan. Make sure to spray the cookie cutter with a cooking spray! Drizzle with melted chocolate if desired!View original recipe
